Coaching
The coaching aspect of my practice involves advising patients on proper
nutritional, lifestyle, and exercise habits. By optimizing the health of an
individual, their goal, whether to run a marathon or lose weight, can be
obtained. My role as a coach to patients is to guide them on the correct road
to health. Although I often make exercise recommendations, I rarely get into
the actual workout planning aspects of training. Having completed numerous
triathlons, I am well qualified to help an athlete achieve their goal of either
finishing a race or shaving seconds off their time. As you will see from the
other sections under Athletes, training smarter rather than harder is stressed.
Achieving optimal fitness while maintaining or improving health is the main
goal.
