TWT - Help... what did I do wrong?

Dr. Gangemi, can you help me figure out what I did wrong?

Up until yesterday (Day 7 of TWT), I was losing weight every day and feeling fine (except for the lethargic-ness every now and then).

However, after a healthy, filling lunch (meat, salad – per rules of TWT, of course), I went grocery shopping, and since I felt like I needed energy, I snacked on unsalted, roasted almonds and then regular raw almonds later that evening.

To be honest, I couldn't stop snacking and ended up eating about a pound for the day.  Eating the almonds also curbed my appetite for dinner, too, though I still ate some meat and salad (per rules of TWT).  I ate almonds on Days 1-5, but less (though still quite a bit), and they were from a different brand, and the raw type.

Today I feel like I've gained weight:  I feel much heavier, and see it, too.  Certain parts of my body are bloated and sore, too.

**Actually, I feel like I've binged on carbs – but I don't understand why???

**I also ate several dollops of sour cream for the first time (only ingredient cream), 1/3 of an avocado (also a FODMAPS food), and a cup of medium chunky salsa (first time since starting TWT) — could it have been any of these, too?

1.  My question is this:  Sometimes in the past I thought almonds made me feel "weird" after eating them.  I've read your post on "FODMAPS" and the polyols – do you think my awful almond "snacking" is to blame?  Or is it something else?

I appreciate your help so much!  I hate having issues.  In the past I've lost weight successfully, but it was always through low-calorie diets.  Exercise makes me hungrier.  I just want to be normal…

Thank you for what you do!  I look forward to your response!

*Actually, yesterday was Day 6 (not 7); I didn't drink as much water yesterday as I have been the other days; however, there has been no diarrhea (you noted in the FODMAPS post that "Polyols will produce osmotic diarrhea when consumed in quantities above an individual’s personal threshold").

Also, normally my neck itches in one spot (eczema – atopic dermatitis), but on Days 1-5 of TWT, the itching has been non-existant, and has even allowed the skin to heal some.

Unfortunately, the itching (and my consequent scratching) has returned as of last night and today.

I look forward to your response!
