Hi Dr. Gangemi – I have a question…for people who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder or occasional depression but don't want to take synthetic drugs like prozac, what do you recommend? Any natural supplements? I already exercise regularly and eat plenty of fruits and veggies, and try to get sun light during the day. Many thanks

SAD is most often related to hormonal problems – adrenal and thyroid issues – as well as low vitamin D status. I've had some patients need a sun lamp, but pretty much the hormones and vit D correct the majority of them.
