IODINE AND RADIATION EXPOSURE
Accidental or forced nuclear destruction can radiate thousands of miles away. Thyroid cancer, leukemia and other radiation exposure effects can be altered by this one protective measure - a bottle of elemental iodine.
A healthy body always has a range that maintains a minimum of 20 to 25 mg of iodine in the body. Anything less than that makes you susceptible to low metabolism problems and invites unsuspected airborne radioactive uptake. With Iosol, we recommend the following:
As quickly as possible, prior or upon a disaster, ingest 10 to 15 drops three times a day for adults. Take with any volume of water, distilled is best. City water is an iodine destroyer. Do this for one week. Each Iosol drop is 1.83 mg of iodine. Use half the adult dosage for children. After one week, 1 to 5 drops a day is necessary for protection. 1 oz. of Iosol has about 620 drops and will last an adult a minimum of 10 weeks.
The FDA feels that potassium iodide can be used in the same mass quantity. The difference between Iosol and potassium iodine (KI) is toxicity and absorption. The FDA knows that during a disaster KI benefits outweigh the risks. The risks of KI are skin rashes, swelling of the salivary glands, burning mouth and throat, diarrhea, heart palpation, stomach distress, anxiety, elevated blood pressure, and in some cases iodine induced Graves disease and irreversible hyperthyroidism.
With "free iodine" like water soluble Iosol there is a 99% chance to improve the "block" on radioactive iodine uptake.
